I’m Yovan Sirengo, the founder of Prital Printing.

I started Prital Printing in May, when I was 13, because I wanted to earn my own money and build something of my own. The idea didn't begin as a huge business plan. My aunt, Elizabeth Priya Kumar, encouraged me to start something small, and I decided to give it a try.

What started as a small idea gradually became something much bigger to me.

I began working on the things that make a business actually work — creating a website, setting up professional email addresses, finding products, working on pricing, speaking with customers and trying to turn enquiries into actual orders.

One of the most interesting parts of building Prital has been realizing how much there is to learn. Since I don't have a physical store, building customer trust and handling everything remotely has been a challenge. Pricing has also been something I've had to learn through experience. Every customer, every order and even every mistake has taught me something.

For me, Prital isn't just about printing products. It is about learning how to build something from the ground up.

Beyond Prital

Business is a major part of my life, but it isn't the only part.

I'm currently studying in Class 8 at Clarence High School in Bengaluru, where I'm part of Redwood House. Alongside school and business, music has been an important part of my life. I have completed Grade 5 of 8 in both Trinity College London's Theory and Electronic Keyboard examinations, and I've spent years developing my skills on the keyboard.

I've also played hockey at the regional level in CISCE/Council games.

These different experiences have taught me lessons that I also carry into Prital — discipline, preparation, consistency, teamwork and the importance of continuing to improve.

Why I Write

The Prital Journal gives me a place to share what I am learning while I build.

I want to write about the real experiences behind Prital — not just the finished products or the successes. That includes the difficult parts, the mistakes, the decisions that worked, the decisions that didn't, and the lessons I take from each experience.

I'll also write about things outside business that have influenced me, from music and hockey to school, leadership, ideas and the experiences that shape how I think.

I'm still learning. I'm still building. And I know I have a long way to go.

But that's exactly why I want to document the journey.

This is my story of building Prital Printing — one step at a time.
